Mr. Vikramdatta was born on the 19th of September, 1966, in Sunkadakatte, Manjeshwar. He completed his primary and secondary education in his native place after which he passed his 2nd PUC from Govt. College, Kanyana.
He then joined the Indian Navy in the year 1983 as 'Artificer Apprentice'. He took up Electronics and Communication and got his BE degree in Jamnagar, Gujarat. He served on board Indian Naval Ship Godhavari, Chatak, and Ganga and also on Off shore Naval Base - Valsura (Jamnagar).
During his naval time, he has visited places such as: Malaysia, Seychelles, Iran, Iraq, Oman, UAE, Somalia, Srilanka, Mahe etc. He took part in the Royal Fleet review at Malaysia and was also a part of the UN Force at Somalia as well as the Supporting force with IPKF action at Jaffna. He Took active part in the electronic spy activity during off Karachi action and witnessed the Gujarat Cyclone disaster.
He was a member of the simulated version of Torpedo. He was a Part of a special team (Southern naval command) with scientific advisor to PM headed by Dr Abdul Kalam.
During his naval tenure, he also had the privilege of donning the garb of a teacher and teaching higher study students. In the 15 years of service to the nation, he received a lot a accolades and awards like: Best Leader during leadership training ,Best Valsurian Award, Citation from southern naval commanding officer, and he received citations from various commanding officers as many as three times in a row.
Post retirement in 1998 he was associated with several religious and social organizations He also recognized and honouned by various organizations and institutions for his service towards country and community.
As a member of the Rotary family, he joined Rotary in the year 2010. He served as the President of RC Deralakatte in the year 2012. During his term his club bagged 15 awards. He served Zonal and district level as the Zonal Lieutenant of Zone 4 during 2014-15. 2015-16 Zonal Coordinator for Interact. 2016-17 Assistant Governor of RI District 3181, Zone 3 and made mark by his zone by contributing highest contributions towards TRF. He also successfully conducted level 2 Literacy Seminar and Ride for Rotary event at Mangalore. 2017-18 Served as Chairman of Happy School. 2018-19 Served as District Secretary Project of RI District 3181. He has initiated “Asha Spoorthy” Anganawady Project in entire district. 2019-20 –Served as District Chairman of WINs. During this period several programmes in district involving more than 15000 students organized. 2020-21 Served as District Secretary Admin. 2021-22 served as Chairman for Significant award committee. He participated as trainer during Pre PETs, PETs, AGTs , DTTs, assembly including neighboring district. From 2017 to 2022 he had the privilege of being at the helm of affairs of various avenues at District Secretariat. These were the contributing factors for being tipped as DG for 2024-25.
As per professional concern, we work as CEO of Kunil Educational Institute, Badiadka.
His interests include: Traveling, reading, listening to Music, watching good movies and has a special liking for Yakshagana. He is married to Mrs.Latha, also a Rotarian and is blessed with a daughter, Dr Vinisha.
